About Omnitribe

Omnitribe was born in the summer ‘01 as a result of spontaneous explorations of open air landscapes of South Brooklyn in the format of all-night psychedelic trance sound system gatherings. Fueled by a shared passion for all things sampled and synthesized, and drawing inspiration from the bustling tribal underground, the collective has organized numerous parties and events, focusing squarely on the evolution of the urban beat. Perhaps the most memorable of these events were the three Omni Dance Festivals (2003, 2004, 2005), which brought together an amazing and diverse line-up of international electronic music and visual artists. These years saw a broadening of Omnitribe’s musical horizons, acquiring a knack for a more laid-back, deeper groove.

Shifting gears, Omnitribe has launched its own music production complex in Williamsburg BK, while also nurturing and promoting various efforts by collective members, be it graphics, clothing design, film production, animation, healing practises and everything in between. A strong core of comradeship and mutual respect for personal expression that developed over the years kept the collective alive and inspired for future projects.

Jumping into the present, Omnitribe is currently launching a platform for the online expression of its efforts in the multidisciplinary realm of music, visual arts and social networking.
